Über mich – About me

Was mir gefällt, setzen meine Hände um.

The sensation of touching, feeling and understanding through holding things in my hands – From an early age I was drawn to textiles of all kinds, and I just kept on experimenting with them.
At one point I became fascinated with making felt from loose strands of wool.
This ushered in a period, lasting many years, of intensive private study as well as courses given by well-known felting artists. From 2004 onwards I had the opportunity to create fantastic stage hats for a number of ballet productions that were presented in the Landsberg Municipal Theatre.
My studio in Utting, a village on the shores of the Ammersee in Bavaria, has become a place for me to continue my research and development. Observing nature gives my imagination an endless source of inspiration. “If I like it, I make it.”
The results have been on public view in many exhibitions in Germany and abroad.
I have been a member of the ‘Berufsverband Bildender Künstler’ (German Federal Association of Visual Artists) since 2015.
